Upper Mississippi River Reclaiming is the community for the folk who identify as members of the Reclaiming tradition and as members of the Upper Mississippi River community.

The Reclaiming tradition was founded in the Bay area in approximately 1979 and has spread around the globe, with regional communities throughout North America, Europe and Australia. For more information about the Reclaiming tradition, please visit reclaiming.org.

The Principles of Unity is the statement of core values at the heart of the Reclaiming tradition.

Where is the Upper Mississippi River Reclaiming located? If you reside anywhere in the 13-county Twin Cities metro area, or if you know yourself to be a member of the Upper Mississippi River Reclaiming community no matter where you currently reside, then you are a member of the Upper Mississippi River Reclaiming community.
